Been there, done that..............and found it !
Systematically go through everything in every room in the house, including looking between each piece of paper in each pile of papers, between and behind books/cds/dvds/vids, checking all pockets in clothes either in wardrobe or stored. It's a painful way to look for something, but it works......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Under the bath?
In the meter cupboard?
I know that's where one pal of mine keeps hers...says a burglar would never think of looking there..I though it was a pretty obvious place.

Parents could not find theirs 4 days before a holiday and had to go down to Liverpool passport office to get a replacement. They found it when they came to pack their cases - in the lining of the suitcase. Does your suitcase have a zippy lining it might be inside of?A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -
Keep looking. It'll turn up - but have Plan B all sorted in good time.
A mate of mine turned his house upside down looking for his passport. Eventually admitted defeat and got a replacement on the day of travel. The original turned up at when he went through Passport control - it was in his bumbag, sitting snugly alongside the brand new one.0 -
