we get paid one way travel (way home in our case)
we arrive at the workshop at 7.30 and resume to our job wherever they may be. This is what is written in our contract also that we are to be at the workshop each day before work commences
so we are still on site for the 10.5 hours minus the 0.5 for the break0 -

You really need to speak to your employer. Today's payslip indicates that you have been paid for 29 extra hours which is obviously incorrect if you have been doing 10 per week.
I wouldn't go straight in asking for the extra money, I would simply ask if they could explain how your wages are worked out as you don't quite understand (or something along those lines). Tell them that you don't think that all your extra hours are being included.

Okay. I have spoken to a few people plus what has been said here. I want to thank everyone for giving me your time and confirming with me that something is incorrect.
I have my skills test next week which will make me a qualified trades person granted I have yet alot to learn but time will give me experience but why shouldnt I be getting paid for what im owed.
I will wait 8 weeks (2 months) before I question it as it gives me a bit more leverage and I will have at least one pay on 9.60(todays payslip) as next one will contain both 9.60 and whatever my trades person rate will be (£10.40) and the ones there after will have my new rate on it. . As my contract is only valid as an apprentice so I will try to avoid signing it unless it costs me my job.
Massive thanks to everyone. I will keep you all posted on how it works out. May possibly need more advice.0 -
since my last visit i have left my job and got a new job paying the rate we agreed on.
I have been in my new employment for 3 full weeks now rolling into my 4th all is going good.
my previous employer is continuing to be difficult but after legal advice my employer has faulted on paying a holiday as 8 hours where a normal working day consisted of 10.5 hours minus the 0.5 for unpaid breaks.
they are trying to make deductions on my pay based on the "way i left" which is null and void due to the fact i was told to make the day i gave my notice my last day and also i need to sign to agree for such deductions before i receive my final pay and P45. As i understand this is considered witholding my pay or monies owed.
with all the above being said my contract which was dated april 2012 was only valid for 2 years and was not renewed meant that i was within my right to only give a weeks notice which my employer obviously didnt take too lightly as he asked me to "make today your last day" i didnt refuse to work my notice period but was asked not to come back therefore i am still due to be paid for the notice period
call me horrible or whatever but i am only standing up to a bully and getting what i am due0
