    Monday - Friday
    7.30am - 6.00pm

We get 15mins at 10a.m. and 30mins for lunch at 1pm

    "Break Entitlement:
You are entitled to the following breaks:
    15 minutes paid morning break
    30 minutes unpaid lunch break

    Quoted from my contract"

I do not work saturdays or anything else outside of these hours.
  • I have changed my breaks as i found my contract and corrected the information.
I am at work for 10.5 hours and have 30 mins unpaid break which brings it back down to 10 hours
  • So does your contract say you get paid monthly or 4 weekly?

Neither. It doesn't state the frequency of pay.

Again it is simply the last friday of each calendar month.
sometimes the last friday of the previous month is 5 days before the end of the actual month causing the 5 week pays

As above, the employer needs to be queried here, as additional hours aren't adding up.

Maximum working week is 48 hours without consent, not 37.5. Our staff are contracted for 2184 annual working hours, with 240 hours leave, so I know that the 37.5 isn't correct.

on the agreed contract it states i have agreed to opt out of the 48 hours which is fine i was understanding that it was 37.5 from other sources which are inaccurate apparently.

But yes it is the fact that my extra hours are less than they should be.

How would i approach my boss about this...?:(:(
  • Have you got a payslip for a 5 week month? Have you got January?

January's pay slip will just confuse the matter with holiday pay and what not. hahah

    Here goes

    extra hours 230.40
    basic pay 1123.20
    holiday pay 460.80
    holiday pay 768.00

    taxable pay 2582.40
    total pay 2582.40

    tax 359.00
    NI 232.37

    deductions 591.37

    net pay 1991.03

Ask to speak to him/her, ask the question.

I employ a team of just over 100, and if there is something wrong with payslips, I'd want to know about it. Last time it happened for us, I wrote a cheque there and then, rather than making the employee wait until next payday.

    HAHAHA Thanks CK

I know this is a serious matter but i had visions of asking for the monies owed and found it amusing. I wish he was as understanding as you.

Is it law to show number of worked hours and rate of pay on a payslip?

because neither are on my payslips.

Ours do, but I don't know the legalities of it.

I'll check in the morning for you.
