Did anyone watch Jimmy Carr last night?

I was quite surprised to see someone took their 13 year old son to see the show?
Now I thought the show was funny but not sure I would liked to have sat next to my child during it. Very adult humour and language.

Can this be moved to discussion time please Mods - looks like it will cause a lot of arguments on a families board.
Oh and OP, the family made that decision - not everyone is prudish.0 -
Lol I'm not prudish
Did you see the show? As I said I thought it was very funny but wouldn't feel comfortable about sitting next to my child age 13.
I don't see how it will cause arguments ?? I didn't even say I thought it was wrong , I said I was surprised.0 -
I didn't see it so I'm not much help

I don't like Jimmy Carr at the best of times!0 -

I did see it; I've heard worse in secondary schools by children around that age group, and I'm not sure anyone cares whether you'd feel comfortable - you weren't there, so its a bit pointless.
The bit that would cause arguments and trolling would simply be that you feel it necessary to comment on someone else's parenting.0 -
"I'm not sure anyone cares whether you'd feel comfortable" thanks for your input and judging for others lol
I haven't commented on "their parenting" purely asking people what they are comfortable with?
Ps I haven't heard any school kids around that age talking about sucking seamen out of someone's a r se0 -

Then you obviously didn't go to my school :rotfl:
On a serious note some kids mature faster then others. If the parents felt ok with it then so be it.
I know I was years ahead in terms of maturity to some of my friends and it was reflected in what my mum let me watch & do compared to my friendsFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
Dislike Jimmy Carr-he irritates me how he makes light of sexual innuendo about children and his 'jokes' about !!!!!philes etc. prat.
His laugh is another gripe....shame the strangulated noise isnt as a result of my hands being round his neck!:)0 -
As long as the kids know not to repeat the words they're hearing (or at least, not in earshot of any adults) then I don't see the problem. But then, I'm part of the generation that grew up watching South Park
never did me any harm!

Hmmm...Jimmy Carr surprises a lot of people, I think...they see him on TV, 8/10 etc and he's all banter, political humour etc, the odd little bad taste thing, but not too bad...Then they turn up to see him live and it's all raping children, pretty bad language, projected pictures of genitalia...it certainly wasn't what I was expecting the first time I saw him live. Fortunately, I still laughed my !!!! off...but I sat there the whole night thinking "I almost invited my parents to this!"...I wonder if the parents in question were thinking "ooops a daisy...should have left Jonny at home!" throughout.0

Personally, I'd question the intelligence of anyone who pays to see Jimmy Carr - but that's just my opinion - which is of very little value to anyone other than me! Definitely not my cup of tea!0
