They are only light machine screws, drill the head off them.

Measure the circumference and divide by pi
  • or see if there are two different pad patterns for each disc size is the easiest way to identify the size of disc but some cars have same pads different size in terms of MM's in circumference or center even hole's or 5 stud 4 stud can give clues to the size of the discs.

    Leverage......

A torx headed bolt can handle a lot of torque, that's what they are designed for (even though car manufacturers use them to discourage amateur mechanics).

Get as much leverage as you can, the end of a jack handle over a torx key would probably do it.

Yup, mild steel fittings in a wide range temperature stress situation. Just put on your aldi torx and hope for the best. Or is that spread head, broken bit or sprained wrist?

+1 for this - Just done similar on a Discovery - I used a Torx key (1\2" socket type) with a 50cm breaker bar and got it out that way - my rattle gun didn't touch it.

Well, that's the one measurement I could see the OP having difficulty with, as you'd struggle to get the tape measure through the caliper. But diameter, thickness and depth should all be accessible.

    Good point.

    Semi-circumference / (pi/2), then.

Another possibility, yes, but the only way to know where the semi-circumference should start and end with any accuracy is to get a caliper (or dividers, or a ruler if the disc face is flat, which I assume it isn't) to find the widest part of the disc*. But that's the diameter, right there.

Would be a help if we knew how different the different sizes of disc are, and in what dimension.

    * OK, so you could draw a line through two of the holes for the wheel bolts, but then you've still got the diameter. Assuming of course that it doesn't have five bolts, then it's more difficult.
