I think that a breakdown of the companies submitting requests on behalf if other companies is essential otherwise there is no record of how many requests all the individual tinpot PPCs submit. Not to mention that NCP one of the major players don't appear in those figures at all.0

I agree, still waiting for the dvla to respond back as some of the data is identical across the 12 month figures and 6 month figures. Maybe ask for a breakdown of those figures in a new request once they have finished with this one.
And those companies requesting data would be
Debt Recovery Plus
Roxburghe
Compex

It becomes in the best interests of politicians to do anything they can to help the Scam that is fake parking tickets.
£6m is an awful lot of income to lose if the fake parking ticket industry goes down.
Though of course the DVLA insist they don't make any profit and any money received simply covers their costs... :rotfl:0 -
Must make an horrendous loss with the council charges of 5p a pop.:rotfl:I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

CCS collect also request data from the DVLA. Apparently their audit was carried out just a day before they requested data on my vehicle too - coincidence....??!! Haha0

I don't think so as they are not on the list of companies buying data, it's likely they go through someone like ranger. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

My apologies, you are right, they go through Roxburghe.0

They certainly dealt direct with dvla last year, and confirmed by Mike butler when they got suspended.
Which begs the question that if DVLA access for a particular ATA member is suspended but they access the data via a 3rd-party how does the DVLA prevent access? Is the DVLA informed of the ultimate recipient of the data when the request is made by Roxburgh etc? I would imagine so in which case an FOI request could be framed to get the actual breakdown.0 -
Presumably if a PPC were to use a 3rd party to get the details for them, then they would be paying a fee to the 3rd party for them accessing the database?
Would be interesting to know how much.0
