short term broadband

Hi could any one answer this, I am in the lucky position of now being able to spend six months in Australia at my sons house but need to to work on return to uk, I will need broadband for work, is there anyway I can get broadband for six months at a time as I plan to keep going to oz then back again, didn't really want to pay for 12 months broadband in uk while away, thanks

There are monthly broadband deals but it's the phone line which will have a long contract and may cost you more.

I reckon you're only real option that wouldn't involve early cancellation fees would be 3G. I use a 10GB per month Three 30day contract SIM for a holiday caravan in a MiFi type device. The question is would that be fast enough and offer enough capacity?

From reading this, I presume you are going to leave your own house empty and not have a housesitter who might want to access the internet. In addition, an empty house is likely to attract a higher insurance premium which may offset any saving on broadband.
