MySurvey UK - Kicked out for no reason!

I registered with mysurvey and completed a few surveys over a week or so, and had around 800 points in my account.
All was going well until they deactivated my account and cancelled it and invalidated my points out of the blue!. I checked with them about this and they said their fraud detection systems had detected something wrong with my account and told me it was closed and I had a life ban! How ridiculous.
I can't think of anything I could have done to cause that - I chased it up but got this reply along the same lines:
Dear Dave,
We have recognized a problem with your account. It has been deactivated due to quality control checks. Regretfully, we are unable to reactivate your account and your points have become nonredeemable.
We apologize for any confusion this has caused.
Kind regards,

:mad: So I wasted my time filling in those surveys and got nothing. Seems to me these guys are scam artists. Don't waste your time.

I have been using mysurvey for a good while now and other than the usual annoying screenouts I have never had any problems with them.
The money always comes through within the timescales promised.
I agree that what they have done to you may seem a little unfair and harsh but I don't know the reason and you need to continue to argue the case with them.
I feel calling the site a scam is not really true though as myself and others on here seem to be doing ok with it.
Hope you manage to get it sorted with them and get your hard earned points back though.0 -
I'm sorry this has happened to you, as I find them a pretty good site.
But I always cash out as soon as I can to minimise the risk of losing money.'Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.' George Carlin0 -
This exact thing happened to me a while ago when I decided to try a one of these types of sites. I think it was Research Opinion Poll?
Anyway, I did a load of surveys - completing them with honesty - when all of a sudden my account was deactivated. I emailed to ask why but couldn't be given an answer(fobbed off).
So I don't bother with these things anymore. I think the surveys are geared towards certain types of people and if they don't like your answers then they don't want your opinion.
That's what I think anyway.0 -

Uh yeah that's the point... It's called demographics.it tells you that when you screen out. It's not exactly a big conspiracy.
If a company wants to know how over 50s view their finances, they're not interested in those under 50!0 -
So the bottom line seems to be:
If you are prepared to spend your time filling in surveys on the promise of some reward and are happy to accept that, after you have put the effort in your rewards will be clawed back with no reasonable explanation, go ahead and join! There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

I've earnt about £40 from MySurvey this year, £190 from that and two others.
They usually throw you out when you continually fail the test questions they throw in to ensure you read.
The OP could have cashed out twice if he was on 800 points already.0 -

Yeah I get that, but the point is my account was just deactivated without explanation or warning.
If they felt I wasn't right for their surveys they could at least tell me that.
They knew all my personal details and gave me surveys for that demographic and I completed the surveys with honesty and read them fully. Then they just bin me off with no explanation.
Not cool.0 -
I've been a member of pinecone for a couple of years now and have had no such problems with them, the only issue is that the surveys are far less frequent than MySurvey gave me in the brief period I was a member.
My biggest annoyance with this is that they won't tell me what it is that has led them to deactivate my account. I've sent them several emails and just get the same non committal reply that they weren't happy with "something"
I'm sure I could have easily cleared up any problem they flagged up to me with my information as I was honest on their forms.
That would be unfair enough, but at very least you should be allowed to cash out the surveys you have already completed.
Sorry but - that sounds like a scam to me. Be warned that it seems with MySurvey you are expected to put the time and effort in, but if they don't like your answers you'll be kicked out without payment or explanation. I'd steer clear .0 -
had the same thing with mysurvey but I hadn't even touched a survey before I couldn't log in and was told that my account had breached their t&c but wouldn't tell me why."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

If they decide they don't want you any more, they should at least let you cash out the points you have accumulated. If they don't, it seems dishonest.Je suis sabot...0
