They offered me nothing when I cancelled last month. Not that I would have accepted as I was intending to cancel for the football off-season anyway.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

I've just cancelled BT Sport today. I also get it through my Sky box. I was hoping they'd offer a deal but they didn't. Last time I cancelled I got 1/2 price for 3 months but now they've ended the free HD deal and apparently they're raising prices to £13.50 from 1st October. Doesn't really seem worth it to watch 1 Premier League game a week. I'd rather spend that £13.50 on a pub lunch when team are playing and watch it in there.

I've seen multiple posts on the DS forum from Sky box users cancelling who were all offered the 3 sports channels for £8 a mth for a year + £3 for HD, so £11 a mth in total.
  • Thanks for the info, the BT haggling isn't generally discussed as much as the Sky. I'll see if they ring back and if not I'll ring and see if they will negotiate.
