Misleading offer in Waitrose - advice please

in Gone off!
Hi,
So Waitrose isn't my usual shop (no surprise I guess) but it has offers on washing powder and an extra 20% off for mywaitrose card holders.
I worked out that buying Ariel from them would be about 8p a wash - fantastic! However, I've now received the product and I'll only be getting 22 washes from each box, not the advertised 38 which of course means a significant difference in price per wash - just over 15p per wash. I can beat this by getting Persil from Asda at the moment.
So - what are my rights in complaining? I have been told that if I bring it back I can have a full refund but I'm pretty annoyed that my time spent searching for a fantastic deal and collecting the order have been wasted.
Any thoughts? Am I just being greedy?

Are you saying you have received a different product than the one you ordered ? If so , you are obviously due a refund.0 -
What did they say about advertising it as 38 washes?0

Just go and get your refund and pop in to Asda on the way home for your Persil. You're not going to be compensated for the time you spent sitting on your butt and browsing the internet I'm afraid. If you did, most of us here would be proper quids in!0

Website is still showing incorrect information. Heading differs from details.

A fair price would be 22/38 of what you paid. So I suggest that you ask for a refund of at least (38-22)/38 of what you paid.
I'm surprised at the suggestion that you take the product bought online back to the store. That defeats the purpose of being an online customer. IF you plan to make a future order suggest that it is collected then and that you are fully refunded. If not perhaps you could ask for it to be collected or that they pay for the postage to return it0 -

Are you saying that you collected the correct washing powder and that it says 38 washes on the box but you are only getting 22 washes from it? If that is the case then maybe you are dosing incorrectly?I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I dont think this is the issue.
If you check the link that alanq provided - The headline says "38 washes" - but the product is actually only 22 washes ( if you read the description underneath - and know that 1430g is the normal weight for 22 washes ) .0 -

If I were you I would take it back to the store you collected it from and say that you ordered the 38 wash one but have received the wrong one so can you please exchange it for the correct one.
Take a print out of the product online.
If they are anything like our Waitrose, who bend over backwards to help you, they may give you the larger one even though it is obviously an error as it does say 22 washes in the description.0
