Beware of fake websites offering to do it for you, they look like DVLA site and snatch your cash.
Get a form from the main post office, use the post office picture services as it is verified from your docs and let them post it off.Be happy...;)0 -
I wouldn't rely on getting a renewal form in the post. Just get one from the post office.0

If you are under 70 renew it online https://www.gov.uk/renew-driving-licence
Over 70 go here https://www.gov.uk/renew-driving-licence-at-700 -
I got my photocard renewal form through the posta month or so before the card expired.
Took it to local post office who took the photos for me in a little booth and got new licence back in less than a week.
That included an address change.0 -
I never got a renewal form - i updated mine late!
Visited the government website, put in all my details, and because i have the new micro-chipped passport they used my passport image on my driving licence.0 -
The trouble with doing it by post is you have to send the old licence off with the form. Given DVLA's previous for losing posts and 'forgetting' to put things like motorcycle entitlement onto new licences I prefer to keep hold of the old one until I have the shiny new one in my sticky mitt0

Also, the DVLA will snitch a few days off your licence, and validate for 10 years from the date they issue it/ My last one expired on 1st May 2012. Current one expires 5th April 2022!!0

Thanks all I didn't know if I could get a form from the post office, I don't want to give up too much remaining time on my old licence as I believe that the new licence starts from the day they issue it and not the day it actually runs out. I need to show my licence for an event that I am taking part in on the 29th of May but don't want to renew at the beginning of May and so lose more than a month on my old licence, then again if I renew on May the 30th will I have enough time remaining before the licence runs out. I can't do it online as they stipulate that you need a passport issued within 5 years to do it mine was issued eight years ago. I think that I will wait until the 30th of May and renew at the post office, if I had known that it would cause this much bother then I would have kept my old paper licence.0

Well you forced me in to action, photocard 4 years past its sell by date and the address was from 13-14 years ago, I was working in Madagascar so address was given as my mother's house.0
