7 inch tablet recommendations - cheap

Hi All

I'd like a cheap 7 inch tablet with a half decent spec - reasonable screen res, pref. 1gb system ram, 8gb storage etc - I'd also like an HDMI output socket.

It will probably have to come from ebay but not necessarily.

Any suggestions?

Thanks but I suspect that even the old Nexus 7 would be out of my price range.

Has anyone any advice on this from ASDA?

You can get the N7 2012 model for about £80 these days, as I recall.

I spotted that a few days ago in Asda but the 512MB RAM put me off. Maybe it could be cheaply upgraded?

Its 800 by 480, single core I heard (claims to be dual). Biggest no no for me would be the 2400mah battery, very poor. Not good reviews..

You can get a sensational tablet for under a £100, well worth stretching the budget further on this one.

I like my Nook HD but no camera might put people off. £89 for the 16 gb from Curries.
