Thanks a lot RedX, Coupon-mad and Hot Bring. I will send a complaint through to BPA. Should I also copy Popla (or send a seperate email to them as well)?
Meanwhile, what contact at BPA should I send email to?

The one in the NEWBIES thread post #6, Steve Clark. I wouldn't copy in POPLA, no need.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks a lot everyone for all the help. I received an email from POPLA with the message that the Operator has cancelled the parking charge notice ahead of the decision date! And my appeal has been allowed. Yipee!!
thanks a lot to the forum members for all the help. I am extremely thankful for all the guidance and support the forum provided against these unfair PPCs

You are welcome, and well doneWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.

Hello - I've had the same parking charge for the same place as Newjoiner82 above and have had my initial appeal rejected. I'm now trying to word a POPLA appeal, with the help of Newjoiner82's letter (thank you). I notice that on his letter regarding the GPEOL he says the rejection letter states 'breach of contract'. I think they have changed their rejection template as it now says 'breaches the Terms and Conditions of Parking'. So my question is, can I use this quote in the same way that Newjoiner82 used 'breach of contract'?
Thanks for your help.0 -
Why rely on one random thread out of thousands, when the thread at the top of the forum gives you a link 'How to win at POPLA'? You don't need to copy one that's from the same car park really, the appeal is standard and the latest version of a ParkingEye appeal is linked in the top sticky. Last year it got silly as we could not keep up with all the ''help I have got a private parking ticket, what do I do?'' threads so I wrote a sticky thread BEGGING newbies to 'read these FAQS first'.
So start there!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did start there and did read the sticky and FAQs and countless other threads while researching. It was advised in one of the many threads that I looked through previously to do a search on my area and see if anyone else had the same issues. So I did and found this one. The details are basically exactly the same as my problem and the appeal was won, so I obviously thought it would be a great way to go, to base my appeal on this.0

OK, sorry, it read as though you literally landed on this thread alone, out of the blue. Anyway we have a 'one case one thread' rule - we certainly suggest people read similar threads but not post their own case on them as it gets confusing. If you want further help please do post your own thread and I promise not to 'bite' again.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies from me also for not having spotted that I needed to make a new thread for myself. Also apologies for not having replied sooner (I was CherryCola3000), I've been having a complete nightmare trying to log back onto this site and as a result have had to use a new email address and new login details. I will shortly be posting my own POPLA letter for perusal - thanks so much in advance I don't know what I'd do without this site.0
