Having problems with TalkTalk customer services?

I have a tip which i used when i last had problems with Talktalk India call centres. This one works, believe me.
I was pulling my hair out after countless time wasted calls to barely English speaking customer service reps.
Then i remembered a trick i once heard about...
When companies use these 0845 type callcentres they usually have no other numbers so to force you to just ring India. You will notice that the fax number of these companies is usually always a normal geographic number, somewhere in their UK offices.
The companies buy phone numbers in blocks. All similar numbers will hit somewhere else in the same building - sometimes another fax, but mosly someones desk. Take the fax no and start making random calls each time changing the last two digits. It took me maybe 8 tries before i got a bullseye. Some guy at carphone warehouse head office. I explained what i was doing as i was sick of wasting my time talking to india and i wanted someone English to sort it out. He was a little bewildered and said he'd get someone else to call me but it never happened. BUT I NOW HAD HIS NUMBER...and i politely started driving this guy mad....i can imagine the faces he was pulling...until he got a lady from Uk customer support to call me and sort the problem out pronto, she even gave me her direct number which i still have and use on occasion.
Try it - but be polite and just act too stupid to know any better, that way they cant hang up on you.
