Parking Eye Proof of Parking

Hi,
Read a lot about parking eye and use at St Peters retail park in Mansfield. General advice is to ignore but is this sensible? I see some people have had county court summons in the more recent posts. Advice from Which? Is to appeal, not to ignore. So how would we appeal?
Car park is free for first hour and charges thereafter. We don't tend to keep parking tickets and I don't recall whether this car park requires entering of registration number on the ticket. How do Parking Eye prove that we did not have a ticket?

I'll pm Crabman and ask him to move this into the Parking forum0 -
Thanks. I thought I had added to the parking forum so could not understand where it had gone.
So best advice now is to pay. I guess this is way forward because if not no one would ever pay for a ticket.0 -
Hi and welcome to MSE :hello:
I've moved your thread over to the Parking sub-board0 -
Read this link for newbies on the parking board, it explains how to appeal.

No way - with the advice available on here you will not need to pay.
The folks who pay are the ones who do not know the law on these matters.
You won't beat them on mitigating circumstances - only on the legal points - basically that the charges are out of all proportion to the event, and that they have not got the right to issue such invoices.
Read the link that nice chap posted for you.0 -

Businesses that respect their customers use automatic barriers to enforce payment. Businesses that despise their customers use private parking companies to fleece them.
You have encountered the latter.Je suis Charlie.0 -
In addition to reading the sticky NEWBIES thread others have directed you to, have a read of this thread by OP Zoe_d for same parking operator at same car park

Other threads relevant to you can be found by using the Search the Forum function and using the search term Mansfield but only look at threads less than say 6 months old.0 -

Where on earth did you get such ridiculous advice ?"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0
