My wife used my vehicle to park in a Parking eye controlled car park of a retail unit without realising the restriction and received a penalty notice from them. This all happened away from home We had gone there as her father had just died very suddenly and she was obviously not her self. When we got home , not only was the first letter in the letterbox from PE but also the second had arrived demanding a further amount as we had not paid ( I have thrown them all in the bin - a mistake!) We were away for a week, so could not respond if we wanted to. I advised her to ignore the letters which we duly did, we have never contacted them but now , today a court claim form has arrived for £150. I intend to defend this demand to the end, having read much of what's online. The Registered keeper is in my company name so they do not have a drivers name.
Can anyone advise on the best course of action please!!

Hi
Can you tell me where you hve moved ny threads to so I can see if therer are any replies. Sory to appear so thick - new to all of this

This is it. If you go to post #1, you will see that is the post you originally tagged on to an already existing thread (aka 'hijacking'). So this is the new thread dedicated to your problem. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
