Hi Captain, I can't help but notice the disparity between your points 3) & 4)? You say that you have nothing to gain by telling them and imply that you aren't a child & yet in your next point you are saying that giving someone else, another adult, responsibility for looking after your cards is a must. I am not sure that you have reached your Light Bulb Moment (LBM) as yet but wish you loads of luck. I think perhaps you need to take a good look at what you are asking her to put up with based around, by your own admission, a very shaky background.GA is a fantastic start but maybe the 2 of you should consider some counselling support as well? Seriously, good luck to both of you, I hope it works out for you.

Captain what forms of gambling do you do, is it online or in the bookies?

You can self exclude from the bookies and also online. There are also blocks that you can put on to a computer to stop you accessing any gambling sites, I use K9. Likewise if you bet on your phone, you can phone up your provider to block access to over 18 sites or even better get a phone that has no internet access.

GA has been a big help to me, get yourself along and hopefully you will find it as benefical as me.

I hope you get things sorted, if I can give up gambling so can you.

Gambling: The sure way of getting nothing from something.

  • Online (mobile and laptop), bookies, service garages, casinos, pub's any where with a fruit machine or a roulette table. It's been a problem for years but only really spiraled out of control in the last 8 months. Honestly I'm not looking forward to ga tomorrow but it has to be done. I don't want to chuck my life away or hurt the women I love any more. I've excluded my self from all my online sites so I can never join again.
