Peaceful day vibes to everyone who's finding the return to the classroom stressful. I'm in awe of anyone who can control a roomful of children well enough to actually impart some knowledge. You all earn every penny you're paid, and I wish I'd understood when I was a child that they were actually on my side.

The turntable in my mother's combi oven won't turn. It may be stuck with baked on grease - my mother didn't clean. Anything, ever. So, not having been used for nine years, I need to get in there with some hot lemony water. It's not a job I'm looking forward to, but the lodgers need it. I thought I'd cleaned it before I stored it, but obviously not well enough.

Welcome back, returning flyladies!

I had a night out with a group of friends in Manchester last night. It was a hoot. Eyes feel like they're on fire now. We were drinking tea in the hotel bar at 3am :eek::rotfl:

Right, I've had my cuppa. Going to put a wash on and pop some holiday gibble in the loft...

Decluttered 40 mins exercise not HHE - then 2 recorded programmes - torturing myself with the GBBOff!! Now made chicken casserole in SC and two CB hashes one for tonight and one to freeze! Feeling rather virtuous as I have a drink and then prepare for a double HH FROG.:eek:

That will take me nicely up to another HHE whilst DH heats up our meal.

Have agood evening everyone. Supposed to rain here to day but not happened as yet - fingers crossed!!!

Been in to the city for ds2 school shoes. Grr
Also to purchase soft shoes for him to try to protect his teacher's legs. The head gas asked her to wear shin pads too. Embarrassed mum face.

Purchased moisturiser to try to counteract the stress lines on my face. Not very mse but a treat.

I left Ds1 & DH in the City as they are off to see a film.

Ironing done.

DS wanted an external hard drive so we went via Morries so he could buy two vouchers - result 4p MOC for fueld - woot!

(And a box of 6 cream buns yellow stickered to 99p 'dropped' into my basket).

Was very quiet hereabouts - the local footy team were going for promotion into League One, which they seem to have achieved!

C'mon ERNIE - pull out MY bond this month!

Had a lovely Sunday, spent too much in Home Bargains, as you do, but dd1 paid for dinner so its evened out haha. Twas very quiete round these here parts, eerilyso, so I summised there must have been summat free going somewhere.

Just done the kitchen, dailies etc, 3rd and last load of washing currently in the machine, it went off full of water :eek: checked everything, ds2 wiggled the plug socket thing and it came back on, so another job to add to the list when I get the council in *sigh* still, im glad its working.

Might.........might do some ironing *ponders* might not an all.

I can't remember the last time I stayed out that late! I also did a good deed and went to collect one friend from his hotel room. He has some social anxieties and when he was a no-show I guessed what had happened. Anyway, thankfully he answered his phone and told me what room he was in. He answered the door about to make excuses but I'd gone armed with chocolate, so popped a wispa bite in his mouth and frog marched him to the others.
Ironically, he was the last one standing!

Early night tonight for me - eyes feel like they are on fire, lol. DS is in my bed again. Said he's scared. Hmm.

Right, will set DW going I think and go have a nice hot shower. Might paint my toenails tonight.

I have just finished my ironing.

We have moved the furniture in the dining and need to move most back - oh well worth a try.
