Morning all. Hugs all round.
I hate computers. I don't use the word hate very often as its nasty but its needed here. I have tried to install free security stuff and I think its gone wrong and I don't have a clue how to uninstall it. Think I'd rather pay.
Anyway, busy day today as we're out tomorrow. This week all rooms have had some attention. Today, I've already stripped our bed ready to put clean stuff on, but think I'll have to dry stuff on airer, the weather is not looking great. I've also cleaned the fridge and done the meal plan for the week, and just munched breakfast, as have the dogs.
Gym and bath next, and I need to walk dogs/pop to shops, bath dogs and hoover right through the house. Oh and find time to do some ironing.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I have just tried on everything in my wardrobe.
Result: decluttered
- 1 large pile of good, colourful clothes for one of my friends to try on
- I pile of good, smart outfits (weddings etc) to go to CS with Gift Aid
- 1 large pile of dull but serviceable clothes to go to CS, but preferably anonymously
That leaves me with just a couple of decent tops for shopping, some bits and pieces for summer homewear (gardening and pottering) which are really too baggy for me now but I won't worry if DGC get grubby or painty hands on them, plus I bought 4 nice tops from St Mike's yesterday and a bargain jacket from the CS earlier in the week. The wardrobe has breathed a sigh of relief and the shopkeepers will all be rubbing their hands in anticipation.
The only thing I've kept for its memories is my wedding dress: 5 years old, worn not only on our special day but also for several other happy occasions since - now 3 sizes too big, and the only item that I wish I could alter because it makes me feel so good. I don't think it will become a family heirloom, but it's not going just yet. So there!
(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all in need, especially bossy's family. Hope that the migraine tablets have worked, pigpen, and that today gets back into figures that you can count on your fingers and toes.
The sun has come out and after breakfast we are off to visit a beautiful garden which will look dazzling after the night's rain :j0 -
Morning all
DS2 feeling better which is a good start.
DH and I need to visit the bank so will get that done and then look at my list and get some flying done today.

Dusty, thankyou. I had already taken a deep breath and took the time to look around this new pc and I have uninstalled only what has been installed today. I really wasn't sure I'd done the right thing, so feel happier now. But I will look round this site for advice because the security that came with the pc runs out in two days so I need to sort something else out.
Gym done, bath done, bed remade. I'm not impressed with how long its taking washing to dry indoors so ironing will have to wait till we get back home tomorrow.
It is pouring with rain here but I need to go to shops so will finish my cuppa, look at techie board and then wrap up to venture out.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Watched part of embarrassing bodies last night and it confirmed for me that I am probably stressed/anxious; the physical symptom list was almost 'complete' IYSWIM. There's a surprise. If it's work causing it then I can, at least, be sure it's short term. Well shortish - 13 weeks.
If any of you have any tips for managing stress they would be much appreciated. If I buckle under the situation will be worse as I am a one-man band and that would just worsen the situation.
Washing on the line.
However it's nothing to what others are going through - sorry to read about your situation Bossy. (Loved the spider BTW)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli, I think just be kind to yourself. Give yourself the same kind of slack you'd allow other people. If you haven't done something, its because you were doing something else or taking time out which we're all entitled to do. If someone else is giving you aggravation and you're doing the best that you can, then it is their problem. Hope this makes sense and hope it is short term for you.
Dogs walked, little shop done, it stopped raining while we were out. Getting good advice from techie board. Right time to bath the dogs.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Dot is most pleased by her 'chickens'... and has to poke each one saying bokbokbokbok.. I love my crazy girl! Off to check Pixie for spots.. she had a couple of questionable looking ones yesterday but being a baby they may be just nothing..

Lol - when we moved in here there wasa mini chicken pox epidemic; DS had had them but DD hadn't - and she assumed they were something to eat! She wanteded 'chicken pops'! - she got her wish. Luckily I still had the buggy so was able to wrap her up when we walked DS to school!

Apart from the ironing, I have achieved everything I set out to do when I woke up this morning so anything else will now be a bonus. Time for an early lunch and read of the local rag.Spend less now, work less later.0

Valli stress is a real pest. Spend time doing things you enjoy, spend time with others, laugh, rest, eat well and repeat to yourself 'this too will pass for everything always does'. Oh and have a dusty hug xx
Been doing some dot-to-dotting, laundry etc. Just having lunch, all the boys have been out to cricket/cycling so all devouring food. DH has started this weekend's woodwork task.
Washing just finished so I'll get that on the line and make us all a cuppa.
Piggers how is your DD coping with her news? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
