Went to one the other day for some new basic wiper blades. They wanted £7.99 for each! Same blades in Wilkinsons are £2 each.
And people say to support your local businesses. Pah ha ha.

Were they definately the same blades?
I purchased the cheap blades from Wilkos once and had to endure the horrible squeaking noise they made each time I used them until I gave up and bought the normal ones.
Cheap rubber0 -
Obviously the packaging was different but they just looked like the normal cheap clip on blades. Not fancy car specific blades or flat blades or anything.0
-
Probably not top brand ones at the motor factor, but wipers are barely what they specialise in. Wilko won't have the specific filters, brake pads or spark plugs* your car may need.
* If it has a spark ignition engine.Hoping this year is better than the last.0 -
I usually get everything off eBay but I needed the blades there and then hence having to go out and find some.0
-
I always get my standard blades from Aldi or Lidl, excellent quality for £5 a pair.0

I have used wiperblades.co.uk. But the last paid i got are crap. Not a patch on the previous ones i bought from them.
Horrible and bulky and just crap. Although i think i said that already. Can you guess i think they are crap?
When i bought some from a local factors for my previous car the guy went out and fitted them. I thought he was just checking the size.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

So not the same blade at all then?
Cheapo poverty spec blades in wilkos, served by people who neither know nor care, as opposed to quality blades sold by people who know their trade.
I suppose you'll be on here next saying you got a set of NangsanYong DitchFinders for your car but they "look the same" as Michelins so they must be the same thing. :eek:0 -

If you took the blades out the packaging they are the same style. The last Wilko blades lasted over a year on my old car before they started to smudge.0 -
