Not Sure What To Do - G24 Parking Fine - Central Six

Hi everyone, recently got a parking fine from G24 at Central Six in Coventry. They have a photo of me arriving and leaving as well. My issue is I could have sworn that the public was actually allocated THREE hours, as opposed to only TWO and I am reading conflicting information about this online, so not sure what to do here?

I'm almost tempted to just say to hell with it and pay it, as my wife is telling me to do so, because our youngest has just had open heart surgery, so obviously we have bigger things to be focusing on right now :(

Would be grateful if someone could give me some advice on this please, thank you :)

Send off Hot Bring's letter to them - has worked to get these cancelled many times now - use the Search the Forum function (top right on main forum page) and enter G24 to see examples of OPs who have had these cancelled in a matter of days

    Dear G24,

This is an appeal against the charge issued to the vehicle with the registration XXXXXX, charge reference XXXX.

It is the registered keepers assertion that :

    1. The charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.
    2. That the signage does not conform to the BPA CoP to which G24 has committed.
    3. That G24 has no authority to issue charges over the land in question.

As such the charge is rejected. You should now either cancel said charge or provide a POPLA code for the registered keeper to appeal to the independent adjudicator.

Any further correspondence other than confirmation of cancellation or a POPLA code will be considered harassment and could result in legal action being taken against you.

Thanks for this template. I've just skimmed the newbies thread and also read the thread of someone who sent this template letter via email,to G24 and got it waived in three days. I can't seem to find the email address to send the G24 template letter to though, can you please advise? Thanks!

    This probably explains the confusion:

    http://www.centralsixcoventry.co.uk/getting-here.aspx

"We offer 3 hours free parking for customers in the main car park, and 2 hours free parking for customers in the small car park".

Maybe a chat with security at Hobbycraft will solve your problem:

"The duration of free car parking can be extended for shoppers by speaking to a member of the security staff on site or visiting the security office adjacent to Hobbycraft"

Hi there, Hot Bring mentioned sending the G24 template letter via email here:

Firstly, please stop calling these unlawful invoices "fines"

For the Parking Eye ( who do sometimes take people to court ) invoice you should appeal using the template in the Newbies thread. If the appeal is rejected then appeal to POPLA.

For the G24 one send the email below :

Sorry colliescarer, my minds all over the place at the moment, I misread your post. On the CPCN it just says appeal to appealyourcharge.co.uk? But no direct email link which Hot Bring referred to, I think?

Should I just send/submit the G24 template letter to appealyourcharge.co.uk then? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if Hot Bring has a direct email link but for the thread you quoted I saw no signs of one being supplied - therefore I'm assuming the OP followed the advice on their PCN regarding how to submit an appeal and just submitted theirs to the on-line appeal site you have mentioned

BIG THANKYOU to you for bringing this template to my attention and to Hot Bring for drafting it in the first place, as I've just had my fine WAIVED! Sent the template letter via post, a few days later the charge got WAIVED!

Thankyou to all who contributed to this thread :money: :money: :beer:
