npower waiving early exit fees

I'm currently on the npower tariff "Energy Online August 2014 Direct Debit" and wish to switch suppliers. My dual fuel tariff has an early exit fee of £30 for gas and £30 for electric if I leave before that ends. I've just downloaded my statement which contradicts that by saying there is no early exit fee on my tariff. I rang customer support and have been told that is indeed the case. Apparently all early exit fees are being waived by npower due to the current energy climate yet officialy they are still saying the fees exist.

The fees were waivered a few months ago (at least since December).0

Probably because their billing system is so hopeless and still in such a state of disarray that it'll take too long and cost too much to apply the charges to your account....:rotfl:0
