Can I suggest not using the new Max Factor version? I think it does a great job of boosting lashes and even adds a fraction more length, but it isn't so easy to apply and I think I lose a few lashes each time. Fine if they are not so sparse or grow back but if you use it every day I'd worry it may pull too many out.

I know others slate it but the Benefit mascara (silver tube, can't remember the name) is a good one as it doesn't seem to clump lashes and doesn't seem to involve losing lashes when removing it.

I've also seen Boots have a new mascara out, I've not tried it but their mascaras seem to be fairly easy to apply and remove.

L'Or!al double extend I use the light blue & creamy white tube.

i started using this one a couple of weeks ago & am pretty impressed with it. not sure i've quite got the hang of the white stuff as it looks like i've not managed to actually apply much, but i must have got some on there as the follow up with mascara turns pretty dramatic! good stuff, as usual with l'oreal, i'll try others but always seem to come back to theirs.
  • Devil have you tried rapid lash? It's one of my staples now.

Ask for mascara samples. I got one yesterday from the smash box counter..it's nice.

I'm trying out the Loreal lash boosting serum at the moment. Seeing how that goes & if I don't see any improvement in a few weeks, I'll have a look at Rapid Lash.

I was born with no eyelashes unfortunatly and they've never really grown. I try not to wear mascara on a weekend if I'm staying home. However, I do like to wear it during the week. It seems that most mascaras are suited to people who have a nice set of eyelashes.
  • Been scanning the net for eyelash growth serums & have found a generic version of the Latiesse eyelash growth serum sold by MyLash.

I'm wondering whether it's worth trying it as it's much much cheaper than the branded version.

Found a couple of other websites that sell this product.

I fairly coat the white stuff on, I look like I have a full set of white eyelashes.
  • I have very fair and very sparse eyelashes too. Ive tried loads of different mascaras too without much luck, so I now just use a very cheap mascara that does the job just as well as the expensive mascaras. I got it from superdrug, from one of the cheap makeup racks (cant remember the name!!) - £1.99 or 3 for £5. I was a bit reluctant at first as I have extremely sensitive skin and wear contact lens - I also have several meibomian cysts on my eyelids, and have found many mascaras just irritate the hell out of my eyes, but it was absolutely fine.
And at 3 for £5 I can afford to buy new ones very regularly which cuts down the risk of irritation - I chuck it out after a couple of weeks and use a fresh one ... actually thinking about it, ive not had a flare up since I started using the new mascara!

You mean Benefit's They're Real - it's my favourite by far but pricey at £19.50. I'm currently using Maybelline The Rocket - non waterproof. It's very thickening and holds a curl. Only £6.99 but often on offer as a 3 for 2 deal. My daughter loves Rimmel's Accelerator mascara in yellow and black tube.

Sounds like you have pretty much the same kind of lashes as I do with the same issues regarding sensitive eyes and contact lenses. I also suffer with Blepharitis at times too.

If you can post a link of the mascaras, I'll take a look. There isn't a Superdrug where I live unfortunatly.

Boujouis clubbing mascara is what my nieces use and they are make up mad. Only about £6 from Superdrug.

This is what I use as well, http://www.boots.com/en/Bourjois-Volume-Clubbing-Ultra-Black-Mascara_1407611/

I've used it for years now, tried other ones but nothing compares. Apart from the free sample of a Chanel mascara I got, that was awesome but expensive
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

For what it's worth, I've tried every type of mascara from high end through to supermarket brand, via organic and everything in between! (See my other posts to see just where this spendy spendy mentality has got me!)

At the moment, I am loving the Max Factor in the grey/cream that is made for brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes etc. The idea is that there are micro pigments in the formula to bring out your eye colour. It really does work! I find, anyway. When I wear it somehow the whites of my eyes look brighter and the the tone of my eyes deeper. Of course, it could just be possible that I am an advertiser's dream!!

The mascara itself is either brown or black depending on your preference but you buy according to eye colour.

Anyway just thought I'd share - I am really into it. I don't normally go for faddy things but I hope they don't stop making this one.
