I was able to update to 8.1 smoothly
it worked fine first time although it took about 6 hours + but our broadband speed is really slow which can't have helped.
I'm now trying to figure out what the email software is installed on it - is it Outlook?
Not sure whether to give it a go or just download trusty Thunderbird that I have used for years! "Things can only get better.................c/o D:Ream #The 90's"0 -

I'll second that, The mail app is OK, but if you have been using TB then you won't be happy with it in anyway.

I'm trying to be brave lol! & use the new stuff but I like Thunderbird & if the Windows Mail isn't as good then I will defo stick to it, also one less thing to learn like you say!

There's always someone who does the other thing.
I use only the Windows 8+ Mail App. It is set up for my 5 mail accounts and I think it's OK. IMAP only but I'm used to managing e-mail accounts this way now. Error! - Keyboard not attached. Press any key to continue.0 -
