another vote for bravissimo - john lewis also do a very good fitting service. I don't actually find that measurements really work - its a case of tryin on which is what they both do. According to size charts i vary between a 32 and 36 back when i'm actually a 28-30! only way is to try lots!0

So what should I be looking for in a bra that fits correctly?0

Best fitting bras I have ever worn are the size Bravissimo measured me as. Totally different size to what I had been wearing for years, but now that I am buying the correct size bras they are so comfortable.0

Being new I am not sure what I can and can't say so will declare that I am not in anyway linked to Bravissimo though wish I was the amount I spend there.
No it is a company who are on line (just google it), have shops and do mail order. If you live near one of their shops its really worth a visit. I drive 40+ miles to reach mine. The staff are very professional, has individual changing rooms. There are T-shirts in each cubicle so you can check there are no lumps or extra bumps that mean its not fitting properly. They aren't cheap but they won't sell you anything that doesn't fit properly. Once you know your correct size from them its possible to pick up a bargain on ebay and they do have good sales. Hope this helps.0 -
My size varies quite a bit between different makes. When bra shopping I usually take a few bras into cubicle that are roughly my size and try them on. If they are comfy I buy them, if not I don't.
Just a quick query/question......Does anyone know of anywhere that sells not too expensive, pretty, non-underwired but big size bras? I got a few from M&S but would like a change. (must be non-underwired):heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Evans do big cups but think they only go up to a G cup not sure what price may be worth checking their web. I know my nan used to use the local market but how pretty they are I've no idea. What about Matalan but don't know what size. Try ebay. Good luck0 -

Have tried Evans but they mostly do underwired so no good for me. Matalan go up to my cup size DD/E but not body size, 44. I'm reluctant to try e-bay as I like to try them on first
Thanks anyways:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Now I knew I was wearing the wrong size (if I'm honest), but my measurements ( following a variety of internet advice) are totally out of range to what I'm wearing and I think I've gone wrong somewhere.
Does anyone genuinely have an idea about how to measure for a bra size.
I am a specialist in this area - trust me!! I can arrange private measures - tape in hand!!! :rotfl:

You might be lucky in Debenhams. I also hate underwired bras! Royce is one make which the lady recommended to me. However I am only a B cup and I don't know how large they go. And you could look on the Figleaves website and get some ideas there, they're very good with their returns policy.Signature removed for peace of mind0
