To the lady looking for non-wired bras try these company:
http://www.goddessbra.com/
They do lots of non wired styles, they are not as cheap as M&S but, if you look after them and you stay the same size, you'll get a good few years wear out of these bras. If you are interested in anything then PM me and ask. I am a lingerie retailer and can get this brand for you - any questions then please do ask.
To the lady looking for a bra that fits well, an underwired bra should lay flat against your rib cage, the bra should cup your breasts and there should be no gaps under the straps, and there should be no overspill of flesh over the tops. if you are bouncing around in the bra then you are in the wrong size as they should fit, and hold, everything securely and in place. If you can't breath you are in the wrong band size. If your back size is now too tight and you want to move from, say 34 to 36, bear in mind that your cup will also change by a size or 2, same if you have lost weight and are going from, say 34 to 32, your cup size will get bigger so bear this in mind. If you are going from a non-wired to a wired bra then you might end up with bruised ribs for a bit while your body adjusts - persevere with this if you can, it only lasts a few weeks and a wired bra does give much better support than a non-wired - especially in larger cup sizes.
Always use a company that has a returns policy so you can send back what does not fit.
Bear in mind when buying UNTAGGED or items with MARKED LABELS on eBay that there is a reason for this and it might be sized incorrectly. be sure that the company will refund you if the cup or band is a poor fit!! A good lingerie seller will want you in a right fitting bra, not want you to buy it, part with your cash and expect you to keep it if it does not fit.
Lastly, the best bras to buy are branded bras, not store brand or own make bras. These are made for high turnover and are poorly made, that is why they are cheap and often the fit is not great. Brands will be consistant with their cup run. You DO get what you pay for and BRANDS are better. I have had my Panache Tango II bras for nearly 3 years as I have not changed size. They are still the same colour as when I bought them, they have no rips tears and they still fit great. Sorry girls but you have to handwash them - look after them and they are a great investment. Cheap bras are made with poor quality materials not designed to last so bear this in mind when you next buy from M&S, La Senza, Matalan or Primark!! Sure it is MSE to pay £5-£10 for a bra but if it only last 3 months then no, it is not worth it - spend £20-£30 on a branded bra and it'll last a good few years so this does make more sense and you will get more value for your money.0 -

Try lessbounce.com. They specialize in sports bras; order lots, and try on at home. If you are bigger bosomed I swear by Enell. They look like croptops, and feel completely different from bra type bras, but are FANTASTIC. No bouncing, no sore bosoms. Can even do handstands and the old udders don't move. The measuring system on them is different, but the instructions are on the website. Whatever you do, don't skimp on bras - you need to spend serious money on a quality bra or you will risk damaging the fibres in your breasts and chest.0

measure under the bust as tight as you possibly can (don't forget bras are made of elastic tape measures aren't) then add 4" for and even number and 5" for an odd and you will have a rough idea of your back size
I've never quite understood this! I get measured every time at Contessa. My underbust measurement is 32". Over the bust is 36". I have been fitted in a 32F in a Contessa brand bra. Fits perfectly. Also a 32F in another brand which I can't remember at the moment. If they'd added 4" to my underbust measurement then I'd be in a 36something - it would fall down to my hips!0 -
They aren't cheap but they won't sell you anything that doesn't fit properly.
I have found that even from Bravissimo, the size can vary slightly depending on the style. I bought 2 bras different styles but same size as they measured me, they have this on their records, and after wearing one a few times, I felt it was too tight. I went back to store, wearing bra so they could see, (took receipt as well) and they changed it for a different size, no problem or I could have changed it for a different style. Bravissimo every time for me.0 -

It doesn't change the fact that most of us at some point will be wearing the wrong sized bra and that some women are wearing bras that are WAY wrong but unless all manufacturers size in the same way then there'll always be an element of guesswork and lots of trying on.0 -
I was measured a 38f in M&S . It was all wrong, bra was riding up at the back and my boobs were always saggy.
Went to a little shop in cardiff Called Leia ans they fitted me (not measured!) as a 34H!! I bought a couple there and then and have since odered some from figleaves.
As I had been wearing the wrong size for so long the new size did feel a bit weired to start with, but after a couple hours I felt so comfortable, no forever pulling the back down and the front up!Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
I peronsally don't like m&s fitting service or their bras - never found one that fits properly, and they do get the sizes totally wrong. whilst there is always a bit of disparity, i'm not going to fluctuate between a 28 in one brand and a 36 in m&S!!!0
