Had our darling Westie PTS a year ago . Think it was £55. Just left him behind at the vets once the deed was done, didn't feel the need to keep ashes but still have his collar and coat hanging in the hall to remember him with.
Hertfordshire. I was amazed price was so reasonable considering the amount we had spent previously fighting his illness
You are given the option when you arrange it, both times we have been given a small form to fill in ( I think vet fills this is in if procedure is done at the surgery) and it has the options on it, with costs. This is how it is at our vets anyway, they have a specific crematorium they use although you can specify a different one if you wish.
I don't understand why anyone would want the remains of a dead pet back - surely when a cat or dog does, that is it.....
Especially when the contents of the casket probably include wood ash, other pets etc....
I am a cat owner and love them to bits - but when they go - I will remember them in other ways .... memories
I would never want a reminder by way of their ashes
The cost of euthanasia is around £50 for us (SW England)
