    No it's not a 3rd tuner. It's a tiny Android/Chrome based computer that connects to your TV via HDMI, and your network or the internet via WiFi. It can show you what's on your laptop/tablet/phone screen, or certain stuff, including YouTube, from the internet. There is no tuner. It's a 3rd source of content, sure. It costs £30.     I bought a Chromecast because our Roku LT wouldn't play YouTube videos easily. A week later, guess what? Roku can! I'll keep the Chromecast but the Roku is a better family device simply because it has a proper remote the kids can throw around.
