Saved yourself a fair bit of dosh.

I got a plumber/gas fitter to do the job for me.

Took old rad out changed pipes and installed new crome towel rail (exactly like yours) and chrome valves. Leaving a gap in my floorboards as had to be removed to get into old pipes so they could be changed.

No change out of 100 quid and was then told " need to get someone in to fix your floorboards":(
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

Fortunately it was a straight like for like swap, so a couple of buckets and the instructions were easy to follow. The hardest part was going to B&Q and trying to find where they had hidden the pfte tape.

Like for like, a stainless steel radiator is hotter to the touch but gives out less room heat than the same radiator sized in white

Brushed stainless steel also gives out more heat than polished . Some of the accuro korle items I have in my own bathrooms are 1/4 plate thickness and retain the heat for a few hours after the heating is switched off!!

When I replace this new one in about 5 years it will be for a white one. Thanks for the tip.
