Issues with Chrome Towel Radiator

I need to replace a flat Chrome Towel Radiator that is leaking in my bathroom. I have measured it across the top (width) and get 450mm, the height is 1000mm (excluding the valves). I have looked at B&Q and Screwfix but I can just find either 400mm or 500mm and I don't know which to get.

If anyone can offer me any advice or of a better place to purchase with more choice I would greatly appreciate it.

I got mine from an underfloor heating company on eBay. They do a whole range of sizes. I think mine is 450x1500 and omit was only about £70.

Can be used for central heating or can insert electric element if required.

Ours runs on the CH during the winter but we've also got a small electric element in it which we've wired in to a timer so that it also dries the towels in spring/autumn when the heating isn't on regularly. Its only about 1kW so doesn't cost much to have on for half an hour after shower time. Ours is also a stainless steel one - looks like chrome but doesn't flake and rust like a chrome one, and gives out more heat for the same size as its more thermally efficient.

Try an independent plumbers merchant in your local area. They will probably be able to get one for you.

I've got the B&Q one for £79, it's exactly the same as the one on the wall already so it should be a straight like for like swap. Thanks for every ones advice.

Buy cheap and they will corrode

Kudox brand offer no warranty on surface finish. If its rusts its tough!!!

Far better spending more on a stainless steel item. Reina are one of the best but items from trade radiators are pretty good too

This is the one I bought from B Q and it is connected to my gas central heating system, although cheap looks a whole lot better than my inherited rusty old single radiator.

Only problem I had was the fitter put new white plastic piping from the towel rail to the floor - left me with white pipe connected onto chrome rail.

So off I went to pound land bought white rad pipe covers, bought some chrome contact and got busy covering the cover with the contact.

Looks the real thing and now all matches - perfect as I have OCD(so my so called friends tell me) could not have lived with the mis match !!!
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

It's unusual that the OP's one is hung from the ceiling though :)
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
