You can't really lol ...just log onto virgin web mail and click spam. that will delete/stop follow ups.

You will still get a few coming into your email client.

I'm using thunderbird which is the quickest easiest way to stop them all dowloading please?
I'm using webmail and reporting each one as spam, then successive ones with the same format automatically get put in the spam folder.

You might be able to use the same technique in Thunderbird but I haven't tried it as I want to keep my Thunderbird folders clean if possible.

Sorry for the duplication, previous poster typed quicker than me! :)

    Thank you Closed! :D

Mainly stressing as I'm on 10GB Broadband Usage, no idea how much usage they would all take plus wasting time deleting them all!

So glad this isn't my main email address anymore!

Opened up my Webmail already have another 9 in the inbox there and 131 Spam although prob not all to do with this but loads look like they are!

On a lighter note some of them are quite funny!! ;)

The all-text ones won't use much, any with pictures will though if your email program automatically downloads and displays the image.

Never before have I been offered a second hand Mercedes, a cheap hotel room for the night, to rehome a dog, watch umpteen budding young talents on you tube, 18 web design services, a landscaped garden and invited to an art gallery all in 15 mins!!

    Thank you John x 2!

I'm pretty sure this is what happened?

I read the original email as soon as I received it and not long after got another message - 1 off someone venting at Virgin who must have clicked reply but the reply went to everyone the original went to..... then lot of people realised this and the mayhem started!

Loads of mine were replies of people asking to be taken off the list which clearly then sends everyone else an email but some of them were already proper Spam messages that have jumped on the bandwagon!?!

I've tried to contact virgin cust svcs but gave up after being left on-hold for over 15 mins.
Their standard message said they were aware of the problem and hope to fix it soon!
In the meantime I've received 200+ emails!

I don't have a leg to stand on with all this!!

Although I still use the virgin.net email address occasionally I haven't been with Virgin for 10 years +.

IF they were my ISP I would be jumping on the I want compensation wasting my time ruining my email account bandwagon though!!

ps if I have disabled POP & IMAP in Virgin Webmail Settings does that mean I should be safe to go into thunderbird again and or will Thunderbird still get the messages from that end? Thanks.
