    I suspect most banks would expect people in this position to open an 'Student' Account in one place rather then having multiple current accounts with different banks.

    No. We have that, are Premier customers and have excellent pensions going in each month.

    However, we had to chase up an appointment with our 'premier manager', as it's clear we don't make enough profit for them.

    Santander 123 or Nationwide beckons.

    I thought the same been with nationwide nearly 40 years refused a cheque book account saveings account downgraded to next to nothing interest and charged to get money out
