Opened my post today and received a cheque for £245! Not bad for something I'd forgotten about0

Lol, mine was for £12, plus 8% interest, which is fine with me. It means I wasn't daft enough to pay more than one year, make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
£120 for me which I'm sure was through an old egg card I had, not bad for filling in a form I suppose.0

Hmm. Been with them since 2005, just got cheque for £86. No idea how they work it out. Wondering if it should be more or is that greedy? Should I just bank it and be pleased that it's money I wasn't expecting, or send it back and fight for more?
It will be a calculation of what you paid to the company. plus interest.
What does the calculation say on your letter. Did you pay all the years from 2005 to date.
I only paid one year, 2005 so that is the amount I got back, plus interest.
I must get it into the bank, Ive lost it twice this week....:rotfl:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I'm with Rosyq in that I have had the same Barclays account since 2005 yet only received £69 plus interest i.e. £101 in total.
I have paid £702 for an additions account over the past 9 years which included the card protection.
This seems low to me.0
