  • I am new to the forum, so not really sure what I am doing. I have received a cheque for £77.30 from CPP. Why do I have to pay 20% tax?

Only the interest is a taxable amount.
If you are not a tax-payer, then you can apply for a refund of this (small) sum from HMRC.
  • Mine came today - £107.62 which is what it cost!
  • £97.50 just in time for my birthday - thankyou very much :)

I still don't know who was responsible but i'm assuming it was egg, I reclaimed ppi from them too.

  • I had a form and filled it in and thought no more about it...had a cheque for nearly £50 back which is a right little bonus...as I didnt even remember having the policy!
  • I used Martin's template to help fill in OH's form and he has just received a cheque for over £90 which is a year's fee plus 8% interest. We wouldn't have got an 8% return in a bank! Many thanks Martin & the team :kisses3: The cash will come in very handy :money:
