The weekend before last, as I was completing a 5, maybe 7 point turn in a private drive I touched an old car parked up opposite. I thought that it was just bumper to bumper but couldn't be bothered to get out and look.

It now appears that the incident has been reported and the police have are investigating and the other driver is claiming a damaged wing.

Is there a cheap way to get out of this without many others finding out?

    Thanks

    Ed

What you claim is an old car, not worth being bothered about to get out and look at to see if you caused damage, could be and probably is someone else's pride and joy.

I have a T reg alfa GTV. It looks rough and it is worth very little. most road users probably think it is a heap. I have spend in excess of 100 hours rebuilding all of the mechanical components, put in many £000's and enough blood, sweat and tears. If anyone bumped into and drove off thinking it is an old ****heap then a visit from the police would be the least of there worries.

An old car does not mean an unloved car.

You are in the wrong. Admit it and pay what you are due.

well it was real but i am sure the original post wasn't made by Ed Balls

Mr Balls said: "Ten days ago, I turned our car round in a tight spot in the private drive beside the Labour rooms in Morley.

"There was a stationary car parked close by. The turn took five or seven points and I was aware that at one point the bumpers of the two cars touched.

bit of a wind up going on here :rotfl:
