Watch Netflix with iPad via Apple TV or app on TV?

Would it be better to watch Netflix programmes through their app on my smart TV or from my ipad via Apple TV? Or wouldn't there be much difference?

Depends on so many things, but I'd want to keep it all inside the TV. The weakest link will be sending video wirelessly from iPad to Apple TV. Can you access any resolution settings on the TV to see what quality the vids are?
