From the horses mouth.
Interesting to note that if you are a higher rate tax-payer, this ISA now has an equivalent to a gross rate of 10.5%.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

The reason the state that is because you would have to find a savings account thats deductable of tax of a rate of 10.5% for higher tax payers to match this ISA for returns.Had £80,000 in Savings - All GONE!!! BYE BYE:A Single, 27, Aspie, Gooner :A0 -
This is the reason that I chose NS&I for my money this year.0

I know! I know! You are preaching to the converted.
I thought it was important to highlight the enormous effect tax has on savings interest. This one of the reasons I always mention (tax-free) index linked certs (after ISA's) when people ask about where to put several k's of cash.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

Not weird smart! After all you are taking money out of their worst (arguable) product and putting it into their best.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
