Half price sky

I signed up for sky a few days ago, was going to wait but the sky rep said there were no deals about (I had also done some googling which turned up nothing) so advised us to go for the basic package and then haggle our way through the upgrades. No luck, rang sky they wont offer us anything. He also said that the basic package still gave us all of the box sets on demand which we have now found doesn't and says if we upgraded through our box it gives you a £5 a month discount on any upgrade which we can't find anywhere. To make matters worse, we have since got an email through from voucher codes for 50% off. Now I understand given the false information and being unsatisfied I am entitled to cancel as I am still within the cooling off period but we still want sky so would doing this mean we can't sign up again? What would be the best thing to do now?

  • Just an update. As we are still within the cooling off period, if we cancelled now would we still be counted as new customers? Also, we did ring sky and they couldn't do us any kind of deal but did say that if we cancelled and rejoined in my partners name they would accept that but only if we wait 30 days. Surely it's easier for them to honour the voucher knowing we can cancel and sign up again in 30 days with it anyway

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
