Indians are nice people, I just think the banks are a bit more exposed then i would like.0 -

I had opened an ICICI account a while ago and then very promptly sought to close it when i discovered how dreadful their customer service is- i am still waiting for a response to an email i sent weeks ago! And if you want to speak to someone on the phone, be prepared to bear the costs of dialling India! Icesave all the way for me....
100% agree.0 -
Am seriously impressed with ICESAVE. Just as happened with the last bank rate increase, I have once again received an e-mail from them announcing the full .25% increase. They put all the other savings institutions to shame and if they can do it, so could all the others if they took the well being of their customers seriously. But no, they hang on as long as possible before announcing any increases, and then only give away part of it to improve their profits. I shall await with interest to see what ING do, although it's now only of academic interest to me as I have only £9 left in my savings account with them, and that is there just for "nuisance value".0

Pray what nationality did Nick Leeson belong to? So would you say your money is not safe with a British bank? I must say I find your comments most amusing. The best bet for people who are going to think on these lines is to stash their cash under their beds and not go to a bank at all.
Come on, get down off your high horse !
The comment was about some foreign banks, why immediately accuse someone who makes a perfectly valid point about something which happens to lie outside of the UK, of being racist ?
I don't like dealing with call centres in India, NOT because I am racist but because they can't understand my accent and I can't understand theirs !
If that isn't PC - hard luck !0 -

I agree with all the above but in all honestly Icesave are not doing anything wonderful, they are doing their job properly which is the sort of service we should be getting from all institutions, it's not really Icesave being wonderful more the others being bad. (IMHO)
Please note I am not knocking Icesave, they have a lot of my cash and I am very happy with them ATM.:)0 -

IceSave are not perfect either:/
For some reason whenever I give instructions for a future withdrawal to be made from my account, it appears under 'pending transactions' as a credit/deposit to my account instead which can be very confusing (though the money does leave the account correctly.

dont play the victim game, nobody used the racist word here, except you.
if you dont want to deal with Indian call centers thats your personal choice which I respect. Its the GREAT BRITISH institutions that are benefitting from outsourcing work to low cost centers like India, turn your back against them and take your custom elsewhere.. nobody in India gives a p*ss! Infact all the Indian outsourcing companies have massive oversupply of work and they are struggling to recruit graduates, attrition rate is around 30%.moonrakerz wrote: »Come on, get down off your high horse !
