CCJ- Taking out a mobile phone contract?

I live at home with my parents and one of them has a CCJ. From what I can gather it isn't a substantial amount of debt and monthly payments are being made to settle this. I *think* the CCJ has been in place for around 4 years now.
I work full time and I am wanting a mobile phone contract, in my own name but obviously the charging order is against the house so will I be able to get a contract out in my name/banking account?

Credit record is against the person not the house, although there may be the loan secured on the equity in the house.
You should have no problems, but no-one will tell you exactly how they do the scoring so its not possible to tell you with 100% accuracy, as other factors could be in play.0 -
as gjchester says i belive its against the person as long as you can prove its not in your name
just remember though having no credit can also go against youWhat goes around-comes around0
