Bzee You really sound like you need someone understanding to help you out here
There are groups that support families in your situation so they might be the first point of call for advice as they will be very knowledgable having dealt with many people in your situation

This is a link to a gov list of groups but if you search you might be able to find something local to you or specific to your situation

This isn't looking good.
£1,000 a month mortgage and in arrears before he's even gone inside. That would mean you getting a job that equates to £20,000 a year just to tread water.
Do you have any equity in the house at all?Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

Have you taken child related benefits into account - for 3 children they'd be quite substantial.0 -
Hi bzee
Some things you need to do.
1. Check out www.turn2us.org.uk as this explains what you need to do to get financial support. You can get Mortgage Interest Support.
2. Apply to the Council for Single Person's discount and CTB.
3. Do you have anything that youy can sell to help make the next mortgage payment?
4. Speak to one of the debt charities about your finances.
5. Speak to Shelter about the housing situation.
6. Talk to your husband and consider putting the house on the market? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Yes. A friend of mine is on 5k a year part time. She is a single parent and this is topped up to £20,000. She has to pay her mortgage out of that.
If the Opp works at 20k then the tax credit would be reduced and I would guess she'd end up with little more than 25k. Take the Income Tax off and 12k for her mortgage it isn't looking good.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
Thank you for all the replies
the mortgage is £118000 left to pay
