Hi, did a really stupid thing today, wonder if I could get some advice.
Parked in Asda car park with mum who is disabled. Parked in disabled bay and displayed badge. Signs said charges still apply so went to machine. You need to type in bay number and it tells you how nuch to pay. (apparently 50p all day on Sundays)
It said "no charge" so I thought great obviously no charge today. Came back to find ticket on car. Was so puzzled why this had been issued. Eventually asked couple parked next to me and the penny dropped that the machine said "no change" and i had misread it.
I know I was really stupid, but Mum has alzheimers and taking her out frazzles my brain. Should I just accept my error and pay the 30 quid.
Would appreciate any advice you could give.

Sounds like the same system they have in the Water Gardens in Harlow, where there is an Asda.
When we have made a simple mistake (eg, forgetting to put ticket on dash) going to the car park management offices got it quashed on the spot.
I very much doubt that you will have to pay the charge if you read the newbies section and follow any advice from the more experienced here.cheers

Never heard of that company before, they are not by first glance in the BPA AOS, are you sure it's not Smart Parking ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Yes it was Water Garden and yes it was Smart Parking. (definately need to wear glasses more often).
Didnt even know that there was a management office there. Will read through newbies section.0 -
First thing - apart from reading NEWBIES sticky thread - contact supermarket and ask them to arrange cancellation.0

The parking management office is in the North East corner of the lower level, to the left of the disabled parking, a window in the wall like a bank counter.cheers

If you read the latter sticky thread you will find over a dozen examples of complaints to Asda which worked to get Smart Parking PCNs cancelled. You should complain to the Store Manager and mention the disability issue causing you stress when shopping which is not helped by this unjust harassment by their agent. Do not listen to any staff member who fobs you off or pretends Asda don't own the car park (it's a standard Asda Colleague lie).
And if you submit the template first appeal (from the NEWBIES thread) online to Smart, preferably waiting until you get the Notice to Owner in the post - then Smart WILL cancel.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
