Is anyone else having problems with Orange. I have been trying to get onto my billing account on line since Friday and they keep telling me their Web Site is down. Are they telling porkies?

If you've EVER managed to log on you're lucky. I never have and got awarded compensation and free paper bills via CISAS after a formal complaint was ignored.

    Hi MJ

Have been logged on for many years. However a while ago when one of my contracts ended I could not get on as they had linked all my accounts to that one!

Funny old thing one of my accounts ended last Friday and I am trying to find out if that is the reason or just the Web Site is down?

It has to do with starting/ending contracts. With mine it was a new number (hadn't had an Orange contract for a while) and I got all the excuses/promises about "the technical team are working on it" and "we'll get back to you" etc. etc. for a few MONTHS. At one point they said they could fix it if I changed the number - something I refused to do since (as you know) I only do cashback deals.

Eventually I went down the formal complaint route; have never been able to log on and did at least end up with a higher profit on the contract. A few months later I immediately went down the same route with a long-dead contract were I discovered (a year after it ended) they have left a problem on my account. Same again; complaint email ignored and after exactly 8 weeks off to CISAS, where (as before) they immediately caved and paid more compensation whilst agreeing to correct their mistake.

They used to be a good network, but nowadays they compete with Vodafone for the "honour" of being the worst.

It's something to do with the mobile numbers and happens a LOT. It also seems the poor old things are helpless to do anything about it apart from fobbing you off. Don't waste before making a formal complaint (which they will ignore) demanding free paper bills and compensation, then go to CISAS after 8 weeks. (compaints@everythingeverywhere.co.uk as I recall without looking it up!).

ive just had the same problem no starting or ending of contracts though they said it was their servers on twitter but havent had any other complaints

i havent had any problems before now

    that i dont belive
    What goes around-comes around
  • I had a similar problem but was put on a limited account and after many phone calls with promises of them sorting it out which never happened and emails ignored i decided to go the CISAS route. I won my case and was let out of my contract and given my pac code.
They wanted me to send my phone back to them which i thought was unfair as i had completed half of my contract with them. After ringing CISAS who said i could put in a new complaint if not happy I contacted orange by email but they refused to budge. I then put in another complaint with CISAS this time also asking for compensation from orange for all extra items bought for my phone which would now be useless I also asked for an apology. I won my claim getting to keep my phone and also received a nice cheque from EE along with a letter of apology. Both times orange agreed to my complaint and didn't defend it.

Several calls to orange and tech guys yesterday their answer was:

"well I can either reset your password again or delete your account - nothing else I can do"

So tried again today and still cant get on - but can get on everything else I use.

    So I called them again.

Took ages - tech guy took loads of notes - I said Ok what do I do now are you going to contact me to tell me what is happening or what to which they reply was:

"Err no - just keep trying"

    !!!!!!

I explained what customer service should be about - i.e. you take the details and get back to the customer he seemed bemused at this suggestion.

    Basically they are not interested.

That is their norm. Wouldn't matter if you spent hours on the phone to them for months on end. CISAS.

I havent been able to get on the Orange one at all for a few weeks (since they put the EE, Orange and T-Mobile in the same place). Couldnt get onto T-Mobile when it first moved, then could get on but not view bills, now the T-Mobile one seems to be working fine. Still cant get on Orange though.

Technically, 404 means the server is there, but whatever you're looking for isn't (or for some reason, you can't get to it because of something wrong on their end),
