Dunno if this has been posted before / is of interest to anyone. But I was reading Head for Points and saw this....
"50 bonus points per bottle of Tesco wine in Scotland
Until 27 April, Tesco has brought back its offer of 50 Clubcard points when you buy wine. This is only available in Scotland, because the new pricing laws for alcohol there mean that Tesco can no longer offer cash discounts beyond a certain level.
This new offer appears to work on any bottle of wine, not just Tesco Finest.
The cheapest item seems to be this very dodgy Black Tower stuff at £1.19, which would be 1p per Avios even if you pour it down the sink (which may be the best option!). Scotland only, remember."
That's not strictly trueApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

I checked on msl and the mug shots are meant to be 50p each in T
These go down to about 35p each in HB, so at a straight comp. vs T at 50p isn't worth it in my view (all things being equal and assuming you have all these different stores available). I think I calculated - in fact, correction, I know I calculated - that, even if a 'trigger' could be found to A's 5 for £3 it still worked out, on full prices vs 50p on all the other four, and paying the mbuy price originally, more expensive for each than the HB offer price that I look to.
[Edit...oh..I see mbuy missing now, so 74p x5 vs 50p x 5 (if all those bought are comparable)...get out Savvy as a mental calculator...:D] Is it still 5 for £3? £1.45 APG, so I make it 5 for £1.55, or 31p each. A shade off HB's offer prices (which may be on or may be off at the moment) - they may go down to 32p - that wasn't a precise price - so it may get you a few pence per pack off, although :think:is it really worth it I wonder after all that effort? Good for using up an APG or two. Needing to buy at least five though (and presumably in fives thereafter for best price comp.).0 -

I can't remember seeing which store this is in

I had used my other wine PP on buying some beer for Mr TS on Saturday. That didn't produce another but I did get another HH so will use that and today's PP to do one more wine shop.
Not sure whether will do more meal deals. Would really like some reds for under £3 bottle that Vineyards cotes du rhone was not the best. But then Mr TS has been spoilt with lots of finest wines over the last year.
I agree....we've had it better in the past. Bring back multibuys and double discounts!! Im not keen on the vineyards wines. They're a tad rough for my taste
I've been lucky with whites, my store have quite a few RTC that have worked out cheap after 25% off.......they don't make it easy for us to get sub £3 bottles anymorelet's just drink bisol prosecco :rotfl::rotfl:
