I am so jealous as I miss having lots of children in the house (5 +friends). Enjoy every moment (sounds like you are).

    congratulations mummyvb.

i don't have any kids. so to me seven is a lot but if it suits your family and you are healthy, it's not anyone else's business.

Most people would struggle to cope so your family are just concerned for you but don't know how to show it in a way that doesn't hurt your feelings.

My Lidl currently seems to have Magnum for £1.25 a box. Not buying, I would only eat them :D

I've got it wrong sunshinemummy. Its 100ml tubes which are half price but not sure if any of them scan with the coupon, as some people have had problems.

Rhos, as always you have hit the nail on the head. I'm glad that you agree that having a big, happy family is the best. You are absolutely right in what you say- we may not be rich in 'things' but we are absolutely filthy rich in the important things- the things that money can't buy. I wish I could come to your house. It always sounds so loving and homely. xx

Enterprise, thank you. I am going to quote you when the time comes to tell family- 'At the end of the day one more doesn't make a lot of difference'. You are so right!

nerfdad, we are not far away from you, we could visit you know!! And your nerflets sound amazing, not half as bad as you make out!

Bananababe- your Gran must be Superwoman- what an inspiration!

Bubbs, FC, Damo, Tweets and everyone else thank you for your support. This thread really is the most amazing place to be xx

She was still shopping for the neighbours when she 82. Been gone long time now. Had 30 grand kids. All grown up now. In truth I favoured my other gran. She had five kids but only three grand kids. I was spoiled by her !!

Thank you everyone for your congratulations.
It's really lovely to have people that I don't even know being positive for us.
We haven't told anyone IRL as we are dreading the comments that we will get. I think some of you know that we have six children already. I realise that is a lot but they are amazing children and even though it wasn't planned there is no real reason to not add another person to our family. DH is an amazing husband and Daddy, has a reasonable job and would do anything for us. We have a big enough house (just), mortgaged but we will get there. I am lucky enough to be a SAHM so don't rely on anyone else for childcare, other than the odd evening out when my Mum babysits. We are always being complimented on how well behaved and polite the children are and on the whole I think we do a pretty good job with them- DH and I make a good team and make up for each other's short comings. Thanks to you guys the children are well fed and clothed, don't really go without anything and what they do go without is more than made up for in love. They are all very proud of each other and love and support each other.
Despite all this I know that we will receive very negative reactions from family. I don't even really understand why.
So thank you for being happy for us, it means a lot xxx
Congratulations :), your family sounds lovely :). Did you see that programme I think it was on last year about big families, I cant remember how many kids they had think it was 13 or something and they owned a bakery they were a really lovely family and the kids were a credit to them and such happy children :)

I remember this programme too, such a lovely family. You could tell that their kids knew that they were loved and your kids will have the confidence that comes from knowing that you will always love and support them too. Your baby is so lucky.
