Thanks for your kind words TS,
I learnt this morning another reason mum was so anxious to get this xray. I knew 'something' had happened a couple of weeks back when My Mum was out with Dad but only got the full picture today. I don't think she had wanted to tell me too much. I think they were in a supermarket car park, and some bloke reversed out and hit into them both, knocking them both right over, but i think Mum ended up on Dad so didn't take full whack of tarmac, although it's not something Dad needs either. They both walk using a stick. Some kind man came out of his van with a first aid kit, but wasn't really needed as no broken skin. It seems the guy who hit them was in a hurry to get away, and almost hit them again when he rushed to get away. Not accusing anyone of anything, but the guy had purchased booze. I asked Mum if they had got his number, but they said they were both so frazzled by it they didn't think at the time. These added aches and pains have been since they were knocked over.
She had the replaced hip x-rayed, and the other side too just to be sure. Thankfully no bone damage but who knows what else it could have done when someone is quite frail like they both are.
I have to add.....
FC, you are a rock. Hope the oh perks up again soon. :A
Logie - take care and don't over do things. :A
Hugs to anyone else who needs them today. :A

Wow, this thread moves fast. 7 more pages since I last read it at 9:30 this morning!
Been to two Asdas this morning searching for deodorants. The first, a Supercentre, had the Nivea Pearl SEL as £2.20 but had completely sold out. All marked at 4 for £3 though. The second, my local Superstore, had Nivea Pearl in, but had the SEL at £1.20
Picked up £2.91 of (very soggy) wombles through. I'm now trying to prise open and dry out the £2.63 one without it disintigrating!Extra Payment Every Week Challenge:
Week 1: £29.68
Week 2: £14.95
Week 3: £5.050 -

May have been worth trying the Pearl anyway as should have gone through at £2.20 (if not, you could change your mind at the till) - you could then go to CS for a refund of the overcharge and £2 giftcard.

Good afternoon anchor and frubes worked for a 12 noon shop0

Next stop orthodontist now, hopefully that'll be good news.
Am hoping DS will then join me without complaining in a trip to T's for curry and cat food. Well the cat is his life, and he is rather partial to the currys, so I live in hope. I'm glad your DS2 is enjoying and learning the joys of glitch shopping FC. My DS usually makes the following announcement quite loudly as we leave SS's.....
'Please take your bags from the scamming area'. :rotfl:
He was quite impressed last night when I waved an A's receipt in his face and I said I picked this up after doing my shopping and it's worth over £4, AND I got a very similar one last week. I think it may slowly be sinking in.
I also found 6 sainsb0bs Active kids vouchers that we collect for his gym club, in an A's trolley.:cool::cool:0 -
I feel sick
:(:(
After spending ages on here trying to work out how to save money on my shopping and having started to have some success, I've just received a parking charge notice for £85 (reduced to £50 if I pay within 14 days). It relates to a free car park at our local out of town shopping place (the Beehive Centre in Cambridge) which serves a large number of shops including Asda, M&S, ToysRUs, Costa, Next, B&M, TKMax etc etc. I hadn't realised that you can only park for 3 hours free. I know this is often the case in single supermarket shopping car parks where 3 hours in one store is usually sufficient for most shoppers (possibly not for Elite members doing several shops though). However, due to the large number of shops, cafes etc, I genuinely thought it was unlimited all day parking and hadn't bothered to read the notices (stupid of me I know). I actually spent over 4 hours in Asda and another couple of hours in M&S, checking and rechecking my shopping to ensure glitches worked etc.
I have now been caught on camera by Parking Eye. I know that the advice given on MSE is not to pay this charge as it cannot be legally enforced so I have just spent 2 hours driving myself crazy trying to read all the information on this site and others about what to do. Advice ranges from 'ignore all the letters and they'll stop' to ' institute a lengthy appeal process and send a complex, legally worded appeal'.
I'm so tired and stressed I just can't take it all in and I can't seem to find a thread that has simple, jargon free, step-by-step information about what to do, including templates for the letters I need to send. DH says that it is not worth making myself feel ill over and we should just pay the £50 for peace of mind but that really goes against everything I have worked so hard for and makes all my efforts pointless.
I'm sure there must be something on here somewhere that is simple enough to help me in my current state so if anyone is able to post a link I'd be forever grateful.
I had a fine from them a couple of years ago and ignored it, haven't heard anything from them in over a year, but I know the rules have changed now.
I would look on the POPLA website for advice and this website is good for advice http://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/popla/
Hope that helpsand good afternoon all

Hi logie
So lovely to hear from you. Aww sorry that your not feeling so well. It could well be like you say with being so busy. I see nothing's changed though as your always thinking of others xx
I'm sure you are right. I need a holiday already!MSE was always my 'me time' and my lack of presence on here reflects exactly how little of that I have at the moment
I owe a huge amount to the lovely community here and think of you all often, even if I don't get online to say itLogie. :A
Tiny big hugs coming your way. I wouldn't be surprised if you have caught some sort of virus now you are back in the work place. With all you have been through and the pressure of now being back at work I don't expect your body is as strong as it could be yet. Take care hun xx
Yeah, I've been joking that it is the city germs that I'm not used to any more. DH working lots of overtime so home life busy too and not much opportunity for rest. Work not helping by rostering me onto daft shift patterns  Roll on the beginning of June when we're off to Yorkshire for a weekTaking Mum and MIL so half decent chance of a lie in
♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0
