Please tell me if I am being thick but why does it matter that the three for £10 cat food ends today?
Aren't we buying in twos and therefore paying full price anyway?
Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x

Morning all.

I struggle with this as, despite being an ardent anti-smoker and never having smoked in my life, I've witnessed first hand how difficult it is for an addict to give up smoking. It must be even more difficult to give up if a major difficulty means a person is suddenly short of money and has to choose between food and servicing their addiction to cigarettes. It seems to me that for some very unhappy or unfortunate people, smoking is the only thing that gives them pleasure or keeps them going.
Most smokers start as children/young teenagers when they have little or no concept of how their decision to start smoking will impact on their future responsibilities. This decision is usually based on peer pressure and a longing to fit in, or for many a misguided belief that smoking will help them to be thin (yet another pressure).
Much as I hate smoking and wish no one did it, I could never withhold food from someone who was hungry just because they smoked.
I'd quite like an extra foreign holiday a year it gives me pleasure and keeps me going. So if I spend our food budget on a sunny trip to Florida, should I get free food from a food bank too?0 -

Definitely not worth making yourself ill over when your dd obviously doesn't need financial help anyway. If I were you I'd just go glitching for yourself whenever you feel up to it. Hope things improve for you soon.Do you want an online glitch buddy or someone local to actually go shopping with you? I'm happy to do online and if you live anywhere near Cambridge I could do rl too.
Thankyou so much Nenen for your kind words. I need a RL glitch buddie to help me get out lol. I'm in Yorkshire though :rotfl:Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

I don't know why you nearly deleted your post Tweets as you sound great to me, especially as you meet the criteria for my definition of a successful person
> someone who doesn't have large debts, is able to buy everything s/he needs (albeit by having to save for some things) and is very happy.
I know many wealthy people who are deeply unhappy and I wouldn't swap places with them!
My overdraft is only on my account because years ago I got a letter from The Abbey now Santander saying I had gone overdrawn on my account by pence and was being charged think it was £25 for letter and something else for being overdrawn by pence  no wonder folk get into debt. Well me being me I panicked.
Was in The Abbey after I had finished work asking why I had overdrawn. No online banking then. Turned out a DD was due out and bank had taken it out my pay had not gone into my bank account but should have cant remember why now. Bank was so kind put charges back in and said I could have an overdraft.
I told them I didn't want an overdraft so lady cashier explained it would just sit there and if I was unlucky and went into it by pence again I would have no charges on my account. She wanted to put a large overdraft on but I said no so its £100.0 -
