Priorities and not 02
Dont live beyond your means and life will be simpler
I do not mean being made redundant/sick/widowed/dumped etc etc something that comes out of the blue.
I mean if you earn £x a week don't spend like you are earning £x +£50 it wont work, sooner or later the proverbial will hit the fan
I give myself a budget, the same amount each week, out of this I must pay for DSes school dinners (can't wait until September when he's entitled to get free school meals due to MLAs changing the criteria to include those on working tax credits), food, electricity and any other essentials. By doing this and having a stash of the more expensive essentials (loo roll, toiletries and washing powder to name but a few) I have been able to save enough to buy my new sofas outright, pay my car insurance in one go, have money to pay my road tax in June and still have near £400 in savings to take DS away for a wee break in the summer.
If someone had told me 3 yrs ago I'd be in this position I'd have laughed at them considering I had a funeral to pay for, £2000 overdraft to pay and various credit cards maxed out I owed a lot, not to mention a few of the awful payday loans. My godsend was a car crash claim was settled roughly about this time 3 yrs ago so I could pay everything off and promise myself I'd never be in that situation again, so far so goodwith a lot of help from you guys xxx
SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

You checked off 41 out of 65 on this list!
You hate people. It’s true. But you haven’t totally given up faith in humanity and that’s impressive. You still have a little more hate left in you to give. Treasure that hate and save it for a special occasion
I thought it would be higher, I can also add a lot to that listSunshinemummy wrote: »I am innocent... it must be our Emma and PD who are to blame!

Sadas are a pain in the ars! to get to where we live, generally not worth it unless there's an epic glitch!Tee hee. Nah just work and stuff. And the nearest supermarket to me is Ts.
But if there's glitch on washing up liquid or bog roll I'm on it like a car bonnet!I'd be your glitch buddy but I don't think we live near to each other?
Plus I'm already spoken for *raises eyebrows at PD*
