    I wish I found this sooner :(

It basically tests how many nectar brands you know of, plays a little game that includes showing you a bunch of nectar brands and then tests you again to see if you've improved.

    Re the glitching
I gave lots to my dd but have decided not to anymore. I have problems going out and at times it makes me physically ill chasing glitches. I do it to make a better life for my family. Dd has just treated herself to a BMW and always has designer clothing and top of range everything. If I tell her about glitches she dosnt bother to do them. So I guess what I'm saying is it's pointless making myself ill to save her a few pounds if she has money to burn and thinks nothing of wasting money herself.

Definitely not worth making yourself ill over when your dd obviously doesn't need financial help anyway. If I were you I'd just go glitching for yourself whenever you feel up to it. Hope things improve for you soon.

What I really need is a glitch buddie, I'm fine with someone else with me. Any volunteers ;)
Do you want an online glitch buddy or someone local to actually go shopping with you? I'm happy to do online and if you live anywhere near Cambridge I could do rl too. :)

Yes, I have read it. It was quite a poignant read for me and you are spot on about the main character....It's probably my single biggest worry in life, how he will cope as an adult. Probably excessively in my case but that's just normal parenthood.
I always think if he could meet someone who he makes smile as much as he makes me smile, he'll be sorted :o

I thought the couple who both have ASD and appeared on the recent TV programme about Uta Frith's work were wonderful together. They both had a great sense of humour and the woman was amazing in her ability to articulate some of the challenges she faces so brilliantly.

I loved the way they were both able to be so honest about their feelings - it's one of the reasons why I like working with children on the spectrum - I always know exactly where I stand as they haven't got a deceitful bone in their body!

Thank you so much for this - I've seen so many different prices and two different photos of chapattis posted on here and was getting very confused, especially as I've never seen them in my Sada anyway.

I'd be even more grateful if someone could tell me what section I should be looking for them in. TIA

When DH died 3 years ago I was signed off sick, I had to apply for ESA so I could claim statutory sick pay because I'm self employed. I got my NI paid but due to 3 mths too little NI paid I wasn't entitled to SS but still had to go through an awful medical after 13 weeks to be told that I was medically fit to work eventhough I was a blubbering, quivering wreck through out. I also claimed housing benefit and still do although it's now down to just over £2 per week because I'm now in social housing.
I must admit I felt awful the first time I went in to fill in both sets of forms. I felt so out of place and very guilty/embarrassed to be there.
I think the worst though had to be when my landlord went bankrupt and we were evicted due to this. The aul battle axe of a housing officer I was assigned couldn't have been worse, she looked at me as if I was something nasty she'd stood on. I remember going in on our last day in the house to see where they'd got us for temp accommodation only to find out Belfast don't have any for 'normal' families, like she couldn't have told me that before! We were offered a hostel in Coleraine, quite a distance from Belfast and really not suitable considering my MH at the time. Thankfully there was a bed for DS in my mums, I just spent months sleeping on the sofa.

I think the hardest part was going into the building not knowing what to expect, having people both in and outside staring at you as you walked in and asked what to do. When I went to see what help I could get after DH died my aunt came with me, she asked for a private room and my brother waited out in the waiting area. He was able to tell me after exactly what had been said in the room because the girl had gone to ask someone else about something and had stood talking about me with those at the counter! Talk about humiliating! He put a complaint in.

I'm signed off sick at the moment but haven't claimed anything because of my experience before. I hope to get working again once the concentration levels improve.

As far as I'm concerned (having paid full tax and NI contributions for over 39 years) your situation is exactly what the benefit system is there for. None of us know when tragedy can hit and we might need a helping hand - ideally one that leaves us with our dignity intact too.

I had a friend who was widowed with two young children (having nursed her dying husband for months) and even the person from CAB who tried to help her sort out her benefits was in floods of tears over the way she was treated when she got evicted!

    one shelf
    two shelves

Thankyou FC. I guess I carry on glitching as much as I can ( many times I just can't ) as I feel I'm letting my family down if I don't do this for them. If it were just me I certainly wouldn't risk making myself ill to get some luxuries. I would rather live a basic life, but I want more for my kids xx

I think if your daughter has just treated herself to a new BMW you can safely say she has more than enough money to provide her own luxuries and you are certainly NOT letting her down. You have obviously provided her with the background and wherewithal to get on in life.

I would also hazard a guess that, if your family is anything like mine, they'd much rather you looked after yourself and concentrated on your own wellbeing than made yourself ill trying to get glitches. It is so easy for us all to be kind to others while beating ourselves up. Try to be as kind and gentle towards yourself as you are to your family.
