[QUOTE=locarr;65262958
I feel for the victims and their families but how did it happen, who was to blame and what were the police covering up? serious question from a football fan.[/QUOTE]
The police allowed to many people into the centre enclosure which was surrounded with a fence so they had no place to go
When it was obvious that fans were getting crushed refused to open gates onto the pitch to relieve the crush
Opened a gate to allow more fans in and blamed the fans saying that they had forced the gate open
Treated the fans as though they were all football hooligans and animals including hitting them with battens when they tried to get over the fence to relieve the crush
Wouldn't let ambulances onto the pitch to come to the fans help after realising that the fans were in serious trouble
Only one ambulance did get on the pitch the rest of the injured fans had to be carried on makeshift stretchers by other fans while the police stood in a line at the half way line thinking the fans would go and attack the opposing fans
All this was by order of higher up police
The media blamed the fans by saying that it was the fans fault for arriving late for the match and that fans were urenating on the police which was all lies0 -

You know a lot about some things… but you’re perhaps seriously lacking in certain areas. Excusable, if you’ve been living under a rock or in a bomb shelter for the past 30 years.I'm going to search the thread now to see what others scored as a lot of that stuff seemed obscure and unneccessary to me
